Giveaway Numero Uno - Il Divo

Well this week we're having a little giveaway frenzy! I'm giving away a couple of items and maybe more as the week progresses! This week I'd really like to ask for your help. The blog is getting bigger and other people are helping us find deals which is great because I really want this to become a place for you. For you to come and find deals, talk about deals and encourage others here. That's why I like it when it grows, especially in the NorthWest Indiana/Chicagoland area. Sure I love that there's out of towners here too but I love that we local women can snag the greatest deals. And with that, comes better deals. The bigger the blog gets the better deals we get and the more chance people will find this blog and give away smashing prizes for my readers, like this week!

So without further ado, let me announce the two contests. The way you can win is by helping me do some word of mouth marketing. I want you to get out there and spread the word about the blog, about the contest and about deals!

Okay so let me preface this: I would not have gone out and bought a CD by Il Divo off my own accord. I mean, just like one of the members, David, says, (my paraphrase) "How crazy, we're an operatic boy band!!" I'd heard of these guys and heard that people were raving over them and so when I got offered the CD to try, I thought "sure" and boy was I shocked!! Now, I'm sincerely glad I own their CDs. Il Divo was created by "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell as a way to bring opera music to the masses and thanks to a certain Chicago talk show host they're pretty "hot" right now!

First of all I popped in their Christmas CD - Il Divo, The Christmas Collection, and I looked at the back and realised that O Holy Night was there first song. This is my all time favourite Christmas song, the one that time and time again brings me to tears only if it's a really good rendition though. As I sat there and listened I was suitably impressed, it touched at my heartstrings and was throughly enjoyable. The rest of the CD is filled with some great classics that I also enjoyed but I played O Holy Night again and again!!

Then I checked out the second CD - The Promise. I don't know what it is about people singing in one of the "love languages" that I enjoy but as they sing The Winner Takes it All in Italian I found myself trying to sing along! I loved their rendition of Alleluya and by the time it got to Amazing Grace I was sobbing in the car and praising God out loud!!! Must have been quite the sight!

I gotta tell ya, these guys are super talented so when they come to Chicago May 19 I wouldn't be surprised if they're all sold out. And not just by your Granny wanted to go drool over Sebastian!! Actually I just read on their site that they added a second show, May 20, at the Rosemont Theater so if you wanna go you better snag tickets quick! Go here for more info.
